About the Opportunity

Currently, we are seeking a full-time HVAC Account Executive, Projects & Sales to join our team in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate must be able to travel within North America, as occasional travel may be required for training purposes. 

The successful candidate's main goal is to close solution-based sales by meeting or exceeding targets on a year-by-year basis for our growing LINC Service Division. You will be traveling throughout our territory to client sites to identify, qualify, and survey potential projects. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Qualifying prospects, making effective sales presentations, and answering questions and objections while managing quotes to close sales
  • Surveying mechanical systems, understanding prospect’s needs and problems, and determining repair, modification, and/or replacement requirements to provide prospects with solutions to problems
  • Interpreting drawings, equipment, and job conditions
  • Providing modification/repair/replacement recommendations and documenting these so the customer and the operations department understand what is required
  • Estimating the cost of proposed repair/modification/replacement and applying company pricing standards to the estimate
  • Understanding customer cost to own, operate, and maintain facilities and being able to translate that into proposals and sales that will enhance customer’s facilities while reducing long-term owning and operating costs
  • Identifying prospects in the assigned market, promptly following up on leads and referrals, establishing customer rapport and identifying needs, and maintaining an active backlog of quotes to ensure booking goal is consistently met
  • Addressing customer inquiries and concerns to ensure the resolution of problems and maintaining long-term positive relationships
  • Understands the prospect’s organization and decision-making process, anticipating and answering objections, and committing the prospect to a decision-making timetable
  • Understanding credit policy and collections policy, interfacing with customers as required to ensure prompt payment
  • Building and maintaining rapport with field, office, and management personnel to resolve issues, uncover opportunities, and maximize profits
  • Participating, with operations in vendor selection, the timely purchase and delivery of parts to assure prompt installation
  • Preparing clear and concise reports, proposals, booking packages, and required company paperwork while maintaining updates relative to delays, changes, special conditions, schedules, etc.

More About You

To qualify, you will need at least 5 years of experience with troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC systems. Previous sales, estimating, and customer service skills are preferred. 

The following skills and experience will be strong assets:

  • Knowledge of building codes and standards
  • The ability to work comfortably with heights is required
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

As our ideal candidate, you are a highly motivated, technically well-versed individual, experienced in providing expert advice and identifying opportunities. You possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with an ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders. 

Additionally, you have strong organization and multi-tasking skills, as well as the ability to plan and organize tasks efficiently. Problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail are crucial to this role.
